    Craftsmanship

    Decking is the floor of your outside room.

    Decking is one of the most visible parts of the deck, so at Halpin Carpentry we believe installation deserves special care and attention. Our guarantee is quality craftsmanship. At Halpin Carpentry we do not contract work to outside contractors. All our craftsmen are employees of Halpin Carpentry and employed with us simply because of their superior skills.

    Materials

    There are many different types and sizes:

  • Exotic (Ipe, Cambara, Meranti, etc.)
  • Synthetic/ Composite

    • Synthetic materials offer the possibility of a virtually maintenance-free structure and there are many different colors and sizes to choose from.

    If exotic materials are used, the framing is done with pressure treated lumber for greater structural strength.

    The use of the highest quality materials during construction ensure you years of durability, reliability, and beauty. At Halpin Carpentry we use only the highest quality materials from pressure treated wood to the new and very popular composite decking materials.

    We also beef-up framing for Hot-tubs, Spas, Deck ponds and even planters.

    Maintenance and Repair

    At Halpin Carpentry we also maintain, repair, clean, stain and power-wash decks. We check for loose decking boards (replace or fasten), rot, water damage, moisture traps (wood may deteriorate quickly in these areas), baluster spacing (code requires no more than 4 inches apart), popped nails, damaged decking and mold and mildew.

    Design

    Our many years of experience allows us a variety of deck designs. We will work with you to develop a plan and build a deck customized to your home and specifications. Halpin Carpentry designs both single and multi-level decks, and integrate decks with enclosed sunrooms, gazebos, and even spas. We also provide a wide range of deck painting and wood staining options for the precise look you want.
